Creating and Managing Supporter Groups

This article explains how to organize your supporters into groups so you can share the right updates with the right people.

What groups are for

Groups let you sort your supporters into circles — like a prayer team, monthly partners, or family — so you can send certain posts to just one circle instead of everyone.

Creating a group

  1. Open your supporters area from the menu.
  2. Choose the option to create a new group.
  3. Give the group a clear name, like "Prayer Team" or "Monthly Partners."
  4. Add supporters to the group.
  5. Save it.

Managing your groups

Once a group exists, you can:

  • Add or remove supporters as your relationships change.
  • Rename a group if its purpose shifts.
  • Delete a group you no longer need — this only removes the grouping, not the supporters themselves.

Your supporters aren't notified about which groups they're in, so you can organize freely.

Using groups when you post

When you write a post, you can direct it to a single group instead of all supporters. See our article on posting to a specific group for the details.

Tips

  • Keep names clear so you always know who you're speaking to.
  • A supporter can belong to more than one group — someone might be both a monthly partner and part of your prayer team.
  • Start simple. Even one or two groups — like "Everyone" and "Close prayer partners" — can make a big difference.
