How to Delete Your Account
This article explains how to permanently delete your CordLine account, and what to consider first.
Before you delete
Deleting your account is permanent and can't be undone. It removes your profile, your posts, and your connections. Before you go, a few things worth considering:
- Export your data first if you'd like to keep a copy of your posts and photos. You can do this from your account settings.
- Let your supporters know if they've been following you, so your updates disappearing doesn't come as a surprise.
- If you manage a shared ministry, make sure someone else can take it over — otherwise those updates may go with you.
Deleting your account
- Open your account settings from the menu.
- Scroll to the account deletion option.
- Confirm that you understand this is permanent — you may be asked to type a word like "DELETE" to be sure.
- Complete the deletion.
You'll be signed out, and your account will be removed.
If you just need a break
You don't have to delete your account to step back. You could instead:
- Simply post less often — there's no requirement to post on a schedule.
- Adjust your notifications so CordLine is quieter.
Deleting is there when you truly need it, but a pause is often all that's required.
Changed your mind?
Because deletion is permanent, there's no way to recover an account afterward. If you're unsure, reach out to us before you delete — we're happy to help you find another option.
