Understanding Privacy Tiers

This article explains what each privacy tier means for who can find you, who can connect, and what they can see.


Privacy is a choice, not a setting you forget


CordLine is used by missionaries in every kind of situation — from those who share openly to those serving where privacy protects lives. Your privacy tier lets you match CordLine to your reality.


What the tiers control


Your tier affects three things:


  • Discoverability — whether new supporters can find your ministry on their own, or only through a link you share.
  • Connection — whether people can follow you instantly, or need your approval first.
  • Sign-in protection — whether extra security steps are required to access your account.



The levels at a glance


  • Standard — You're easy to find and follow. Best for missionaries who want to grow their support base openly.
  • Increased privacy — You're less publicly visible, and you have more say over who connects and what they see.
  • High Security — The strongest protection, built for sensitive contexts. Connections are carefully controlled and two-factor authentication is required for everyone on the account.


Choosing and changing your tier


You can set your tier during setup and change it later in your settings. If your situation changes — a move, a shift in your work, a new season of ministry — revisit your tier to make sure it still fits.
