How Phoebe Uses Memory—and How You Control It

This article explains what Phoebe remembers, why AI is off by default, and how to turn it off or delete what she's learned.

AI is off until you turn it on

Phoebe and CordLine's other AI features don't see any of your content until you explicitly turn AI on. Nothing is sent for AI processing before you opt in.

Where Phoebe's memory comes from

Phoebe draws on a few specific things to help you, and only these:

• Your writing samples, if you've taught her your voice — see our article on teaching Phoebe your writing voice.
• Your recent posts and activity, when you ask for a summary.
• The conversation you're currently having with her.

Turning AI off

You can turn AI off at any time from your settings. Once it's off, none of your content is sent to Phoebe or any other AI feature — background features like proactive draft suggestions stop for your account entirely, with nothing sent on your behalf.

Deleting what Phoebe has learned

If you've taught Phoebe your writing voice, you can clear that at any time from the same settings area where you taught it. This removes what she's learned from your samples and past posts — future drafts start fresh rather than drawing on your old voice profile.

Where AI shows up

AI features appear in a few specific places — Phoebe's chat, writing help when composing a post, the ministry summary feature, and profile setup. If AI is off, none of these send your content anywhere; you'll see a prompt to turn it on if you try to use one of them.
