How to Write Your First Post

This article covers how to share your first update with your supporters.

Starting a post

  1. Tap New post — you'll find the button near the top of your dashboard.
  2. Choose what kind of post you're sharing (more on that below).
  3. Write your update in the text box.
  4. Add a photo or video if you'd like.
  5. Tap Post to share it with your supporters.

Choosing a post type

CordLine offers a few kinds of posts so your supporters know how to respond:

  • Field Update — everyday news about your life and ministry.
  • Prayer Request — something specific you'd like your supporters to pray for.
  • Praise Report — an answered prayer or a moment of good news to celebrate.

Each type is labeled clearly so supporters can pray, rejoice, and respond in the right spirit.

Tips for a great first post

  • Keep it personal. A few honest sentences beat a long, formal newsletter.
  • Show, don't just tell. A single photo makes your update come alive.
  • Invite a response. Ask a question or share a specific prayer need so supporters feel involved.
  • Don't overthink it. Your supporters follow you because they care about you — they'd rather hear from you often than perfectly.

After you post

Your supporters will see your update in their feed, and depending on their settings, they may get a notification. They can react, pray, and leave comments — and you'll be able to see and reply to their encouragement.
