Adding Your Phone for SMS Notifications

This article covers how to add and verify your phone number so you can receive text message notifications.

Why add your phone

Text message (SMS) notifications are a simple way to stay in the loop even if you don't have the app open or push notifications turned on. Adding your phone also lets you use text messages as a sign-in security step, if you choose.

Adding and verifying your number

  1. Open your account settings from the menu.
  2. Find the phone number section.
  3. Choose your country and enter your mobile number.
  4. Agree to receive text messages by checking the consent box.
  5. Tap Send code.
  6. Enter the code we text you to confirm the number is yours.

Once verified, your number is ready to use for notifications.

Before we can text you, you'll be asked to agree to receive messages. Standard message and data rates may apply, message frequency varies, and you can reply STOP at any time to opt out or HELP for help. You can review the Privacy Policy and Terms linked right there on the screen.

Turning on SMS notifications

After your number is verified, choose which notifications you'd like by text in your notification settings. See our article on managing your notification preferences.

Changing or removing your number

You can update or remove your phone number from the same settings screen at any time. If you use text messages as a sign-in security step, keep another method available so you don't get locked out.
