# Staying Safe and Reporting Suspicious Activity

This article covers how to report content or behavior that concerns you, how to block someone, and what happens after you report.

## Reporting content or a person

1. Find the ⋯ menu on the post, comment, or profile that concerns you.
2. Choose **Report**.
3. Select the reason that fits best: harassment or abuse, inappropriate content, impersonation, spam, or something else.
4. Add details if you can — specifics help us understand what happened.

## What counts as a good reason to report

- **Harassment or abuse** — unwanted, hostile, or threatening contact.
- **Impersonation** — someone pretending to be a missionary, organization, or person they're not.
- **Requests for money, passwords, or verification codes** — CordLine and legitimate missionaries will never ask you for your password or a sign-in code. Treat any such request as a red flag and report it.
- **Anything that just feels wrong** — you don't need to be certain something violates a specific rule to report it. "Something else" is always an option.

## What happens after you report

Every report is reviewed by a person, not decided automatically. We look at what was reported and take appropriate action.

## Blocking someone

Blocking stops someone from contacting you or seeing your updates, without you needing to explain why. You can block from their profile or from the report menu.

## Tips

- **Report first, decide later.** Reporting doesn't require certainty, and it doesn't notify the person you reported.
- **Block and report aren't the same action** — you can do either one independently, or both.
- **If something feels urgent or threatening**, reach out to us directly rather than waiting on a report to be reviewed.
