# Making Your Ministry Discoverable

This article explains what it means for your ministry to appear in Discover search, and how to turn it on or off.

## What discoverability means

When your ministry is discoverable, supporters can find you by searching in Discover — by name, location, or what you do — without needing a link from you first. When it's off, the only way someone connects with you is through a link or QR code you share directly.

## Turning it on or off

1. Open your ministry settings from the menu.
2. Find the discoverability option.
3. Turn it on or off.

## Tier limits this setting

**High Security ministries can't be made discoverable.** If you're on the High Security tier, this setting is locked off — the strongest privacy protection includes staying out of search entirely, with connections happening only through a link you choose to share. Standard and Enhanced Privacy ministries can turn discoverability on or off freely.

## What appears in search

A discoverable ministry shows its name, location, bio, and organization, if you've filled those in — the same information visible on your profile. Nothing about your private conversations, your supporter list, or your account settings ever appears in search.

## Connecting through Discover

Following an organization through Discover connects instantly, with no approval step. Following a missionary usually connects instantly too, but some missionaries require approval before a new supporter can see their updates — see our article on approving or declining connection requests.

## Tips

- **Turn discoverability off if you rely entirely on personal invitations** — there's no downside to keeping it off if your growth comes through direct outreach.
- **Review your profile before turning it on**, since search results show whatever you've filled in.
