# Creating a Welcome Post That Helps Supporters Connect

This article explains what a welcome post is, what to include, and how new supporters see it.

## What a welcome post is

Your welcome post is the first thing a new supporter sees when they connect with you — a short introduction to who you are, your ministry, and what to expect from your updates. Think of it as a handshake before the ongoing conversation.

## Setting it up

1. Open your profile settings from the menu.
2. Find the welcome post section.
3. Write your introduction and add a photo or video if you'd like.
4. Save your changes.

## What to include

- **Who you are** — your name, your family if you'd like to introduce them, and where you serve.
- **What you do** — a sentence or two about your calling and your work.
- **What supporters can expect** — how often you post, and what kinds of updates you share.
- **A warm invitation** — let them know their prayers and encouragement matter to you.

## A note on privacy

You're in control of how much you share. If you serve somewhere that calls for caution, keep your location general and leave out identifying details in your photo or video — the same judgment you'd use in any other post. See our article on photo privacy and safety for more.

## Editing it later

Your welcome post isn't permanent. Come back and update it any time your situation changes — a move, a new season of ministry, a growing family.
